Buying bees in 2026? Now is the time! We offer West Texas bred Queens, and two options for Nucs.LOCAL QUEENS: $35 we supply Queens by late April / early May.
Our bees demonstrate mite-biting behavior, offer gentle genetics, and are generous honey producers. Queens are open-mated in our Callahan and Taylor county apiaries. They spend one to two weeks in our nursery to start egg-laying, which enhances acceptance rates at your apiary.
Queens come in a plastic cage with slow-release fondant. Please be ready to promptly install your Queen. We recommend leaving her caged for a maximum of two to three days and manually releasing instead of relying on the bees to chew through the fondant. If your bees are not accepting her, another Queen may be present in your colony.
There are normal risks assumed in livestock transport and installing your own Queens. We guarantee our Queens are healthy upon pickup and do not offer refunds or replacements.
